Alterations & Steel Beams

Below is a selection of projects completed by us, from wall removal to wind posts. The main thing to remember is that virtually any solution can be found but in all cases requiring steel beams, structural engineering calculations must be done and submitted to building control who will subsequently visit the site to inspect the work. This is important because if in the future to want to sell the property, evidence will be required by the solicitors.

We have structural engineers that we use and can complete all the building control paperwork for you and include this in our quote.

Wall Removal Doncaster

This wall removal required a wind post as the clients didn't want a brick nib to support the beam on the exterior wall. The main reason for this was that the wall to be removed had a radiator on each side, to maintain the heat in the new open plan area a bigger radiator would need to be installed, therefore by using a wind post the need for a brick nib was removed and left a big enough wall for the large radiator, This is the most expensive way of doing this but there was no other option in this case.
